Broken bread
Broken bodies
Scarlet Red
Telling stories
Thorn in flesh
Betrayer among
Whom to address?
The poison stung
Chaos ensues
It cannot be
But God did choose
For Man’s liberty
Soldiers surround
Disciples are shocked
Must march up the mound
Endure being mocked
Could this cup be passed?
The anguish within
How long more could He last?
For the ravages of sin
Will death be the final nail
The tears that flow amidst the loss
Yet the plan will entail
Victory is won upon a cross
